WHO

Unity Fest was created back in 2020 to bring a unique and memorable, annual weekend festival to lesbian, bi, trans, queer women and those who are non-binary.

The festival is now in its 6th year and offers a wide variety of entertainment, live music acts, exciting activities and fun workshops plus lots more!

WHAT

Unity Fest aims to create a safe space for lesbian, bi, trans, queer women and those who are non-binary, to unite and encourage social interaction, friendship, and acceptance of one another.

Sometimes for various reasons people can't feel or be themselves in their everyday life. Some people even feel very isolated within the area/community in which they live. Whilst at Unity Fest, we want to help you feel a sense of freedom and enable you to be your truly fablous self, in the company of like minded women.

We aim to create the dynamics of a large scale festival, without losing the sentiment of intimacy and inclusion.
Please note Unity Fest is an 18+ only festival.

WHY

Lots of us have been there... At festivals, events and concerts with such large crowds of people and we have felt very alone or anxious... Unity Fest aims to be different to this!

Our Festival Director has many years of experience organising events and working at festivals, with solos, couples and groups. Along with her 'Dream Team' crew, she will endeavour to do her very best to make everyone feel very welcome and feel a big part of the Unity Fest Family.

So whether you're a shy single, an extrovert solo, or a couple, we want to welcome you with open arms and aim to make you feel at home from the moment you arrive.

A SPECIAL MESSGAGE FROM THE FESTIVAL DIRECTOR

Hello and welcome to Unity Fest!

I’m incredibly proud to be the founder and host of this one-of-a-kind celebration — a space built for community, connection, and joy.

Each year, Unity Fest continues to grow, evolve, and shine even brighter. This growth has brought with it an exciting new chapter: a move from our original home in Cumbria to a brand-new location in Newark. Centrally located and with fantastic facilities, Newark gives us the infrastructure and space to keep building Unity Fest into the best festival it can possibly be — for all of us.

What makes Unity Fest so special? It’s more than just a weekend of music and entertainment — it’s a vibrant, affirming space where we can come together to celebrate who we are, through live performances, workshops, sports, and unforgettable shared moments. It’s about belonging, joy, and unity — the kind of memories that stay with you long after the festival ends.

Honestly… we’re not even sure how we’ll top this year (like seriously — how?!) — but if there’s one thing you know about us, it’s that we’ll find a way. We’ll raise the bar, break a few rules, and take things even higher.

Unity Fest 2026 will be our sixth birthday, and trust me — we’re already cooking up some incredible surprises. So gather your chosen family, pack your sequins and dancing boots, and get ready for the best lesbian festival of the year.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for your love, support, and energy — you make this what it is. I can’t wait to welcome you to our next magical chapter.

With love and unity,

Nic Last (aka Voddy)

Festival Director – Unity Fest
